Erratum

The article by E. Baldi et al. (Endocrinology 144:1653–1655, 2003) contains a descriptive error. In two places, {alpha}3ß1 integrin is described, but {alpha}2ß1 integrin is meant. The corrected sentences are as follows: "In particular, androgens have been shown to down-regulate {alpha}6ß4 and {alpha}2ß1 integrins (4, 6), whereas they up-regulate the expression of the antiadhesion molecule MUC-1 (6).... In addition, the integrin {alpha}6ß4 is a key molecule in carcinoma cell invasion process, as it mediates traction forces on extracellular matrix (17), whereas {alpha}2ß1 is required for completeness of the metastasis process in PC cells because it mediates adhesion to bone matrix (18)." The authors regret the error.
