Erratum

In the article "Disruption of glucose sensing and insulin secretion by ribozyme Kir6.2-gene targeting in insulin-secreting cell line" by Li Li, Asheebo Rojas, Jianping Wu, and Chun Jiang (Endocrinology 145:4408–4414), there is an error in the Northern blot in Fig. 2. We have recently found that the riboprobe contained 119 bp of nucleotides that are not complementary to the Kir6.2 mRNA. Although the other 83 bp at the 5' end of the probe are correct, we could not reproduce the Northern blot result. We failed to identify the cause for the error of the Northern experiment. We regret the error and any potentially misleading information to the readers. We stand by, and are confident with, the results of Kir6.2 currents and insulin secretion that were obtained with another two independent approaches. The authors regret the error and apologize for any problems that this may have caused.
